Kalla Patel B.Ost (hons) Osteopath
Kalla Patel B.Ost (hons)
Kalla has trained at British School of Osteopathy (BSO) (now the University of Osteopathy (UCO)) and was awarded her degree in 2008 by HRH the Princess Royal, who has been an advocate for the School since 1984.
Before training as an Osteopath, Kalla worked in Law Offices in the City and found her niche in healthcare completely by accident.
Patients are surprised to hear that chronic conditions that have been debilitating and very depressing are often musculo-skeletal in nature and can be significantly improved with only few treatment sessions with me…..honestly! “I will always try to get to the root of the problem!”
Kalla particularly likes the challenge of treating chronic conditions and devising providing specific rehabilitation which can bring about speedy recovery IF advice is followed.
So much so, Kalla has become very interested in rehabilitation of the neuromuscular system and has a separate program for young and old to re-calibrate the neuromuscular pathways which helps with co-ordination (dyspraxia), balance, speed of movement, strength etc.
Kalla has worked in Northampton for over 10 years now and is very experienced in treating all manner of problems (even if seemingly complicated) and more importantly is still passionate about her work. This is evident by the fact that she is highly regarded by her patients who refer to her on a regular basis.
Kalla is registered with the General Osteopathic Council – click here for details.
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is an established system of diagnosis and treatment for a variety of musculo-skeletal problems, involving the joints, bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues. This aids increase in circulation which helps resolve aches, pains and injuries and allows the body to function with the minimum of wear, stress and energy.
What happens during an Osteopathy treatment?
Osteopaths use a variety of osteopathic techniques, from deep soft tissue massage, trigger point treatment (using finger pressure or acupuncture needles), to joint articulation (rhythmic movement and stretching) and manipulation techniques, even medical acupuncture.
At your first appointment a full medical history is taken, your posture and structural conditions carefully examined dependant on the problem you present with so a diagnosis can be formulated.
